THERAPIST REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBILITES

Speech Therapists
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Associate's Degree from an accredited SLPA program

  • ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) for SLPs

  • Current and active state SLP or SLPA license

Physical Therapists
  • 1-2 years of clinical experience as a PT and 1-2 years of homecare experience

  • Graduate of a Physical Therapy curriculum accredited by the APTA

  • Current and active state PT license

Occupational Therapists
  • 1-2 years of experience as an OT

  • Graduate of an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited by the CAAHEP, AMA, and AOTA

  • Current and active state OT license

THERAPIST RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess, develop, and implement physical/occupational/speech therapy programs for pediatric clients

  • Collaborate with staff, caregivers, and family on the client’s unique therapy needs.

  • Evaluate and treat the client based on their own acquired expertise and adhere to the guidelines of their professional standards

  • Develop meaningful treatment plans with individualized therapy goals for each client

  • Develop an ongoing assessment of the client's needs to determine appropriate programming

  • Maintain a pediatric caseload including maintaining solid communication with parents/caregivers and scheduling appointments

  • Provide direct therapy and parent coaching services in person or online

  • Write daily treatment notes and keep track of client progress

  • Develop home programming as appropriate

  • Participate in team meetings, community service activities, and workshops

  • Assist in administrative duties

  • Provide clinical supervision and mentorship for SLPAs or COTAs if needed

PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR

The Patient Care Coordinator will be responsible for supporting day-to-day operations at Myna Therapy Services and perform a wide variety of administrative tasks to ensure the highest quality customer care for patients. In this position you will greet patients, take phone calls, schedule appointments, provide answers to patient questions and provide support to providers and management while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism. In addition, the Patient Care Coordinator will cross train with the Billing Specialist to assist with billing duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to management and providers to ensure efficient operations of the clinic

  • Answer phone calls, emails, schedule appointments, and greet and support all clinic visitors with professionalism and an upbeat, positive demeanor

  • Collect and ensure accuracy and completeness of patient intake forms prior to appointment

  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits

  • Manage medical records, patient accounts, and clinic documents

  • Collect co-pays and process patient payments

  • Stay proficient in EHR/practice management software and all clinic services

  • Maintain clinic supplies by anticipating needs and placing orders

  • Communicate with referring providers and other healthcare professionals

  • Assist Billing Specialist with billing duties as needed

BILLING SPECIALIST

The Billing Specialist will handle all aspects of the billing and accounts receivable process in compliance with industry requirements and the company’s financial policies and procedures.


This position is responsible for ensuring deadlines are met and that accurate, timely processing of claims and collections is carried out. This position is also responsible for provider credentialing and enrollments with all payers. In addition, the billing specialist will cross-train with the Patient Care Coordinator to assist with office duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Responsibilities

  • Verify patient eligibility and insurance benefits

  • Submit and manage pre-authorizations for treatment when applicable

  • Verify completeness and accuracy of all claims and charges before submission

  • Ensure the timely submission of all claims

  • Manage claim rejections and denials

  • Utilize aging accounts receivable reports to follow up on unpaid claims

  • Post payments to patient accounts

  • Send patient statements monthly including any past-due notices

  • Create and manage patient payment plans

  • Make necessary arrangements for medical records requests, completion of additional information requests, etc. as requested by insurance companies

  • Respond to inquiries from insurance companies, patients, and providers

  • Regularly meet with other members of management to discuss and resolve reimbursement obstacles

  • Utilize denial reports to identify trends and reduce the rate of denied claims

  • Identify and update billing processes in collaboration with management to improve efficiency and accuracy

  • Stay up-to-date and knowledgeable with billing and coding requirements applicable to services billed at Myna Therapy Services

  • Perform additional duties as needs arise and as requested by the Management team

  • Verify provider credentials and licenses and ensure enrollments are submitted and up to date in the billing system and with all payers

  • Manage group credentialing information in CAQH and other applicable third parties

  • Assist patient care coordinators with office duties as needed
