FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we accept Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota, Tricare, North Dakota Medicaid, Sanford Health Plan, Medicare Part B, and UnitedHealthcare. We can also provide a superbill for out-of-network benefits.

Do you have private pay rates?

Yes, we offer a private pay rate for families paying out of pocket. Families choosing to private pay will receive a 25% discount from our standard service rates. All payment is due at the time of service. Your credit card will automatically be charged the full amount on the day the service is provided.

You may also choose to complete a financial form to see if you qualify for an additional discount on services. Discounts are based on the ratio of income to expenses. This must be done before services begin.

Where will services be provided?

Services are provided at the Myna Therapy Services office in Fargo, ND, as well as online via teletherapy, and at daycare centers, homes, or schools.

Do you charge extra for driving to homes or daycares?

No, the driving time and mileage is on us! We understand how busy parents and caregivers are, and we want therapy to be as convenient as possible.

Do you offer teletherapy?

Yes, we do have an online teletherapy option. We can determine whether teletherapy is an option for your family after an in-person evaluation.

What is a Speech-Language Pathologist?

A speech-language pathologist (SLP) diagnoses and treats speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults.

What ages do you work with?

We work with individuals of all ages. We have therapists who specialize in treating the pediatric population, but we also have therapists who see adults.

Do you offer free screenings?

Yes, Myna Therapy Services would be happy to conduct a free screening to determine if a further evaluation would be recommended.

What does an evaluation include, and how long do they last?

All evaluations include a parent or patient interview, a comprehensive assessment, and some initial impressions. Evaluations typically last 60-90 minutes. A full report and treatment plan are completed after the evaluation and sent to the family via our patient portal. If therapy is recommended, the family can visit our front desk to get on the schedule.

Are parents or caregivers allowed in therapy sessions?

YES! In fact, we encourage that. We want you to be a part of this process and understand the how and why of what we are doing in therapy. We find this helps with carryover at home too.

Will you collaborate with other professionals on our child's team?

Yes! This is very important to us and something we make a priority. We understand that we are often one part of the solution and communication with others is necessary to get the best outcomes for our patients.

My child did not qualify for Early Intervention or school-based services, can you still work with them?

Yes. At Myna Therapy Services, our approach to therapy is very specialized. We are able to treat areas of development on a deeper level than what may be offered in other settings.
